Electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL)

Electromagnetic calorimeter in HERA-B experiment

is intended to provide electron pretrigger and electron/hadron separation.
It's being built using Shashlyk technology in close collaboration between
Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (Bologna, Italy),
Institute for Theoretical and Experimental physics (Moscow, Russia)
and
Institute for High Energy Physics(Protvino, Russia).
