Introduction
The assembly of OTR frames and the preparation of cables, TDCs, ASDs,
feed-through boards (FTBs),
HV boards, etc. requires to develop the distribution
of the readout electronics.
This rather complicated due to the non-regular OTR geometry,
large number of channels (nearly 120,000),
tight space inside the outer frame not allowing the cable sorting.

Module positions have been obtained from the ARTE program for OTR geometry.
By the way, here is a history of cable connection
for TC2, -x, +y.
Please note that I use module numbers which slightly differ from formerly used.
If I would number cables according the the formerly used module numbers,
then cables in sectors 1 and 2 would number not in the order of X coordinate.
Therefore I have renumbered modules of the right half
in groups tc-100, tc-1, tc-4, tc-6.
For example, in
module position file for TC2
The length calculated by the program (length) and the length the coax
cables must have (L) are related by:
In addition it is advisable to add another 2cm for spare:
Cable length is 6.5-7.5 m for TC2 -x,
6.5 m for TC2 +x,
5.5 m for PC Super layers.
Source for these distributions can be found at
this page by FLT group (Mapping from TDC to Link Boards)
General scheme of HV group distribution was done by H.Kapitza:
New proposal for TC and PC layers,
Old proposal for TC layers.
These HV cable distribution were made with 16 connectors per HV group,
therefore HV-type feed-through board has 64 connectors.

You could see the TC2 cable order
for old numbering and
new numbering schemes.
The same renumbering is to be made also in TC1 and PC1-PC4.
The order in MC1-MC2 should not be changed.
We take into account (now only for MC1-MC2!) that
in the cap region (where two halves of superlayer overlap)
it is possible that cables cannot go along stright line
because of the inner frame ledges. This make an additional enlargement of lengths.
L = length + 1cm + 7mm - 2mm = length + 1.5cm
--> L = length + 3.5cm
and to round to the nearest integer N.
These numbers are shown in the tables for each modules.
