Minutes of SLT meeting on Mon, 13 Mar 2000 ========================================== Present: Peter Kreuzer, Mike Medinnis, Teresa Nu~nez, Brian Aagaard Petersen, Lars S"oz"uer * FLT message in place of FLTE Teresa showed plots of residuals from Slicer, also for single sectors. These suggest that flti and flte produce similar results. * Missing hits in SLBs As a test, Mike looked at noisy channels in switched off OTR chambers, while random RoIs were generated. In emulation mode, more channels are found than online. In addition, residuals in sectors of PC01 are not all flat. It was concluded that there are two separate problems: - The decoding is wrong in some sectors - The SLBs are missing hits Plan: Check SLB requests and replies * CnA formatter Peter continues work on CnA for the SLP nodes. He intends to use binary data format. The byte swapping issue will be addressed later. * EDC ports Brian reports that EDC runs on the new linux farm hb-af11 - 20. Compiling and linking is very fast, because all is in the AFS cache while there are few other users. See ~aagard/goodwork . Lars reports no progress yet on Solaris and IRIX. (Note: Meanwhile I succeeded to build some needed libraries, and talk to F. Sun about libl2to4t.) * daqif Lars reports that it is possible now to fill arbitrary data, e.g. Monte Carlo truth information, into a dummy FED of component 16 (COMMON). See ~soezueer/public/daqif
