HOW TO access the classification bit in an event:
Each event contains the classification word in the ARTE-table EVHD. See within DESY /afs/desy.de/group/hera-b/ARTE/dev/examples/eclass.C as an example. The kumac command SELECT allows you to read only the events belonging to a certain class. E.g. SELECT 'class=#2'. Check the ARTE interactive help.

HOW TO find the header file in which the masks are defined:
The header files are defined within Arte. Refer to the appropriate Arte version. In the development version ARTE-dev you find within DESY /afs/desy.de/group/hera-b/ARTE/dev/include/reco/eclass.hh.

HOW TO find out how many events were classified in a certain class:
Event classification is monitored online since run 15860 on Friday, June 23, 2000.
A summary file containing one entry per run can be found in the run summary.

HOW TO find out which ARTE version is running online:
The actual ARTE version which is running online can be found in the online version history.

HOW TO check which libraries are used in ARTE:
A history of library versions within ARTE is listed in the ARTE library version history.
